Bentley & Co. Foundation was inspired by my first dog, Bentley, adopted in 2018. Witnessing firsthand the emotional support pets provide, this foundation was established to help families preserve that bond—especially during life’s hardest moments. Here's to every heartbeat we fight for, and every bond we keep unbroken. This is more than a mission—it's a promise, from my heart to yours.

Meet the Board

At Bentley & Co. Foundation, our board is made up of passionate animal lovers and community advocates dedicated to building a safer, kinder world for pets and the people who love them. We bring together diverse backgrounds in education, public health, outreach, and nonprofit leadership—all united by one mission: to make compassion the standard.

Founder & President

Kelsey Lawrence

Kelsey Lawrence is a medical student with a heart for prevention-focused care that keeps families and their pets together during life's toughest moments. Her work is rooted in lived experience, a commitment to public health, and a growing interest in how medicine and law intersect to create real, lasting change. Outside of school, Kelsey can usually be found at brunch with friends, (slowly) learning the electric guitar, and sharing her home with two dogs, Bentley and Kassidy, who firmly believe frequent barking solves most problems.

Avi Attanayake

Pavitra “Avi” Attanayake is an engineer, poet, future pathologist, and lifelong animal lover. She believes that our pets embody the best of us—love without condition, loyalty without question—and she is devoted to harnessing education, community, and compassion to give them a voice when they need it most. Away from work, Avi embraces her calling as full-time butler and part-time entertainer to her cat, Sticki.

Jamie Sperati

Jamie Sperati is a medical student on the path to becoming a surgeon, who has an unshakable belief in second chances and helping others in their own transformations. She finds purpose in building new projects that bridge needs and existing resources. When she is not studying she enjoys tending to her growing houseplant collection and negotiating with her dog, Shaemus, who believes every move deserves a treat.

Bentley & Co. Foundation corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including but not limited to promoting animal welfare, supporting pet retention efforts, providing direct assistance to animal owners in need, and offering public education and community outreach.
